- Fall 1996 ICONIC 'Dante' Runway Collection, first seen on '90s supermodels Helena Christensen & Kristen McMenamy.
- Black felted wool and cashmere-blend coat
- Intertwined gold bullion cord trim
- Adorned with sculpted collar leaves & descending matador arabesque
- Asymmetrical backside slit leading to scalloped tailcoat

- An extremely coveted and highly-collectible piece from the unforgettable 'Dante' Collection. Held in a candlelit church in East London, the catwalk showcased McQueen's signature gothic romanticism, heavily influenced by Victorian-era silhouettes. Only three matador coats were ever made by Lee McQueen... personally crafted, for London's Liberty Department Store, acclaimed British Fashion Editor Isabella Blow and McQueen studio assistant Ruti Danan. A prominent feature of the internationally acclaimed 'Savage Beauty' retrospective exhibit.
